Hi there…just thought I’d do a quick update.

I’m still working..and in fact I’m feeling pretty good. I still get tired from time to time, but nothing like I used to be before. I don’t know if this means that whatever I have is going away, or if I’ve taken the previous 6 months to rest up. Financially, things are still really tough, but hopefully that will all be cleared up when I get paid at the end of the month. Only 9 more days!

One of the reasons that I may be doing better is that I am taking the bus and using my bike, now that I no longer have a truck. My theory (and a poorly-based one at that) is that I’m doing just enough exercise to make me feel better. I may get another vehicle at some time…but for right now I actually enjoy riding around on my bike..and a bus pass is a lot cheaper than a car payment.

I have to admit that lately I’ve seen some of my relationships change, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. I am still trying to figure this one out. There’s one relationship that I thought I would try to take a bit further, but that isn’t going to be the case. Then there are others that seem distant, and I don’t really know why. Dealing with other people can be tricky…obviously because we only truly know one side of the story…and also because, as I’ve recently realized, sometimes we don’t even know ourselves as well as we’d like or think. I’ve dated some over the past couple of years, but every time that relationship has ended. Not all have ended badly, and I’m still friends with a couple of people. However, I seem to be left with a feeling of “what happened?” some of the time…and I have an eerie feeling that I’M the one that had the problem.

If that last paragraph made no sense to you, that’s ok. I got it out of my head and on here…and that’s free therapy, folks. If you think I was writing about you in that last paragraph…well, the only thing I can say is don’t assume.

Anyhoo, one of the things that I did last night is attend an 8th grade graduation. Why do we have 8th grade graduations? I know the kids enjoy them, but sometimes it seems like just one more thing that a parent has to deal with. Obviously, I’m not a parent…so I might be all wet on that one.

After 6 seasons of being on the air, I have finally seen an episode of American Idol. From being a non-watcher of the program, it just seems like too much drama for a bunch of people…some of which are talented, while others shouldn’t even sing in the shower. However, I must say that as an Arizona resident, I am rooting for Ms. Sparks…I might even watch tonight.

Well, that’s about all I feel like downloading at this time…God Bless.

Thursday Thirteen #21

Thirteen recent events in Bubba’s life

  1. Last movie watched: Dodgeball. I must have been in a really goofy mood…because I actually sat there and watched all of it. Stupid humor…but guess I was in the mood for it.
  2. Work has been going well…for the most part…even though I’m still tired all the time, it doesn’t seem as bad for now.
  3. After I get paid, I plan on seeing a neurologist in another last ditch effort to find a solution to what’s going on with me.
  4. I am going to cancel my application for Social Security disability…for now, at least.
  5. I am very thankful to the many people that have supported me while I was not working. Thank you, one and all, even if all you did was pray…because prayer is just as important. Thank you.
  6. It was sad that the Phoenix Suns lost their game last night. I’m hoping that they will win the next 2 games…and go on to be NBA champions.
  7. I am feeling old. My niece turned 17 this month. 17!!! The sad part: it’s my baby sister’s kid!
  8. Eagles may soar high above everything else, but weasels don’t get sucked into jet engines. That’s according to Larry the Cable Guy.
  9. I think I’ve spent too much time around Pat. Since I’m now working, I’m amazed at how much life I can live…without babies around.
  10. I normally have to have the TV on in my bedroom to fall asleep. However, since I’ve went back to work, I have no problem turning it off and then sleeping. Weird.
  11. I just noticed I only put 12 instead of 13. So, here’s 13: uh, never mind. I can’t think of anything else.
  12. I’ve really missed being a part of the TT community…this is my first TT in a month.
  13. I’m doing this during a break at work…so I will be surfing periodically after I get home. Thanks for visiting!

I’m back….

Posted on by 0 comment

Yes, I know it has been weeks since I’ve posted anything. I apologize to the two people that still load this page.

I’ll give the short version first, then elaborate from there. It may take more than one post to elaborate, but bear with me…I’m not dead.

Yet.

But the day is still young.

Short version:

  • Still feel the same. Still tired.
  • Haven’t really seen doctors in a while.
  • Work declined my disability claim, so I’m back at work.
  • Still feel the same. Still tired.

Yep, I think that about covers it.

Now, for those of you who really want to know what’s going on….watch CNN. Just kidding!

Anyhoo….things have been pretty loopy lately. Like I said, I am back at work. Full-time. They wouldn’t do part-time, even after my doctor faxed them that I should start part-time…but I guess there’s a reason for all of this.

So far, in seven days scheduled to work, I have missed one because I was too tired, missed half of another day because of a doctor’s appointment, and still feel tired. Still drinking about 4-8 cups of java a day just to stay conscious…my tummy will thank me later for this diet.

I also found out today that I won’t get paid until the end of the month…so this is going to be a very interesting two weeks plus. My roommate has covered rent for me for the third month in a row…and while he hasn’t said anything, I’m sure he’s not really happy about it. I will be a happy camper if I am able to continue working…and therefore I’ll be able to pay him back at least some of it at the end of the month.

At home, the dishes haven’t been done in a week, and laundry hasn’t been done in two weeks…which means I gotta get busy as soon as I walk in the door tonight, or I’m not going to be able to eat or dress myself for work tomorrow.

At work, I guess I’m doing ok. They still don’t have my system access ready, so I’ve been helping other people out…and they seem happy about that for the most part.

There are a lot of things that have happened yesterday that I would really like to comment on here…the Suns winning last night to even up their series with the Spurs 2-2…Jerry Falwell passing away this morning…and all the other controversial stuff happening. Anything, that is, except for Ms. Hilton’s upcoming role as a guest of the state of California’s correctional system.

More to come later. In the meantime, thanks for your prayers, thoughts, and help. I appreciate it all. God bless….
